HTML5, Flash, Mobile

These blog posts that I bookmarked last night turned out to address the “Flash is dying” issue.  Actually looks more like it may have some serious competition.  I originally bookmarked them to read because of the device-agnostic mobile testing.

Jason Griffey, librarian Top Tech Trends ALA Midwinter 2010

Gizmodo (long, and has some examples of html5)

Stan Bogdanov, instructional multimedia specialist in a library The Demise of the Native App

Meanwhile, Adobe released  a Flash player which can run on what appears to be everything except Apple products late last year, once the mobile browsers will support it (if I’m reading the geek speak correctly).  Flash Professional CS5 will have the capability to create Flash-based iPhone apps.
